Chiquita

Chiquita, or petite. I lived in and loved this room for years! The person that had it before me also loved it. When a larger room came available, he always passed it and at the time, I thought it strange. One day, during the lock downs, he decided to start a vigorous workout routine and needed work out space. At the time I had the very large Crow’s Nest, so we switched. Until now, it was I who always passed on the larger rooms as they came up!

In part, the light that streams through these windows. Very nice. Sometimes I like to work late, then sleep late so the blackout shades are great for that! There is also a nice view of the neighborhood.

I made the side table out of American Brown Elm and scrap steel. It fits perfect next to the bed so I decided I couldn’t take it with me across the hall!

This 1800’s bed frame goes so nice with the house. The bed is firm yet comfortable. There is bedding for both seasons.

The bed sits high enough for this roll out storage cubby.

Behind the entrance, these hanging shelves add to the ample storage solutions key for making a smaller space work well.

I am a resin artist and this is one of my favorite resin paintings, Air Apparent. There is an artisan built closet to the left of this cozy chair that is not pictured. An antique dresser and two other storage spots are cleverly incorporated into the space.

This desk will fold closed to hide your mess if you want! It has two large drawers and four small ones with a lot of cubbies. It’s very sturdy for its age, solid, and I loved working on it.

The house provides paper towels, toilet paper and natural cleaning supplies. We also provide rubber made Brilliance Tupperware for use while you are here. The room is nice but we hope you wont stay in it all the time! Our house has many nooks and both indoor and outdoor spaces to inhabit.
