Double Down

This is our two room suite (hence the name). It has the benefit of being the only bed room on the main floor and has a separation between the bedroom portion and the office.

The room has filtered light coming in from three directions. The window pictured has a view of the plum tree..

This room has more storage solutions than you can shake a stick at! This dresser has a lock for one of the drawers. This is the view of the office door that goes out toward the sauna and kitchen.

The bed is new, firm, comfortable, and has “eucalyptus”the good sheets” that are the best I could find .

As a woodworker myself, I really appreciate these carved details in the oak bed frame.

The rug is vintage hand tied wool from Pakistan. I feel so lucky to have come across it while I was setting this room up!

This is a seating area with a view to the plum tree. The private office space can be seen through the doorway. The closet is to the left.

Detail of the side table base. I restored this table and gave it a respectful update.

This is the only room that has a private door to the back garden. I have more than one dresser to compensate for the smaller size closet.

This closest sits behind the entry to the room from the office. The shelves above have ample height for taller storage needs.

The view from the private office to the bedroom.

There is a desk with a side table that has three drawers. The built ins are from when this space was originally used as a butler’s pantry.

This is a higher storage area with the built in storage below.
