Please be mindful to accomplish these details by the move out date. If it comes down to the wire and more time is needed, please let the community know and if the room is open, more days can be added on a prorated basis.
- Two weeks ahead of time is not too soon to put in for a change of address!
- Dust light fixtures and art pieces using glass cleaner if needed
- Wash sheets, mattress pad, pillow cases and any bedding that can go through the washing machine.
- Remove all personal belongings
- Clean the inside of the dresser and desk drawers using the Dyson if needed
- Clean all surfaces with the “counter spray” making sure to remove finger prints and smudges
- Thoroughly vacuum floors then steam mop
- Clean wool rug if soiled
- Trim dead leaves off plant and make sure it is happy and perky (if dead, please replace in kind)
- Make the bed and leave the room as the day you moved in
- Deep clean the bathroom including washing the shower curtain with bleach (add 2-3 Tablespoons of bleach in the washing machine)
- Clean all kitchen food areas in the fridge and freezer making sure to leave behind food storage containers
- Leave the key
- Have a community member check the room and other areas for you before getting the deposit
